Leelanau Montessori Public School Academy, Leelanau County’s only public charter school, is seeking skilled and dedicated community members to volunteer for service on our Board of Directors!
Leelanau Montessori serves children ages 1-12 years old on our beautiful 4 acre campus in Lake Leelanau, Michigan. Our school is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by our charter school authorizer.
Ideal Board of Director candidates would have experience in strategic planning, policy development, or financial oversight. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important, and prior leadership or legal experience is beneficial. We also value candidates who are interested in supporting our fundraising efforts to help ensure we have adequate resources for our vision and mission.
Being a charter school board member is a great way to help your community, meet new people, learn a new skill, and keep your existing skills sharp!
