Cathy began working for Leelanau Montessori in 1986 as an assistant, and after care worker. Over the past two decades she has served many roles between the birth of her four children, Jesse (21), Aaron (18), Benjamin (11), and Drew (7). She received Montessori training in 1992 and currently leads Leelanau Montessori’s Toddler Program. Cathy and her husband Steve and family enjoy hiking, boating, and rock hunting in Leelanau County. She also enjoys gardening and photography.

“I love being with kids,” explains Leelanau Montessori Friends Club supervisor Tricia Hursh. Tricia is taking classes in education part time at Northwestern Michigan College while raising her children, Abigail (4), and Hudson (2). Tricia and her husband Ben enjoy hiking in a new location each weekend, and spending time at home with their children.
